Autopilot

Lets see what the optional EFIS/One autopilot can do for you.

Press the AP button, and the autopilot window will appear.  There are several autopilot steering modes (Nav source):

GPS - The autopilot will steer to the next waypoint using GPS
Heading bug - The autopilot will steer the heading indicated by the heading bug
Ground Track - The autopilot will steer the ground track you select with the heading bug
Virtual VOR - The autopilot will keep the airplane on the radial you select using the Virtual VOR
External NAV - If you have an external NAV with glideslope connected to EFIS/One, the autopilot will fly the glideslope.

There is also an altitude hold setting to lock on the current altitude, and an option to have the airplane fly to a selected altitude.  You have your choice between indicated airspeed and vertical speed climb modes.  No matter which you choose, the autopilot will not let your airspeed fall below Vy for safety.

Guidance must be engaged before you can engage altitude.  Disengaging guidance will disengage altitude as well.  You can install a separate autopilot disconnect switch for your stick or panel if you wish.
