| When you turn on your EFIS/One, the main screen will
appear similar to the picture below. The
system takes about 10 seconds to boot, and another 10-15 seconds to
acquire a GPS lock and you’re ready to go.
|
|
The
upper left quarter of the screen is the Attitude Indicator area.
It displays attitude, airspeed, altitude, heading, and
much more. Terrain is
depicted here to look like it does when you’re looking out the front
window. Terrain at or above
your altitude is indicated in red.
We're looking at a
flat area here. |
|
The
lower left quarter of the screen displays the magnetic heading in a
vertical compass card format. A variety of other information is
found in this section, including with ground track, wind speed and
direction, distance and time to the next waypoint, and current Lat/Lon.
Your
choice of two engine
sensor values are shown in the lower left corner. |
|
The
moving map is shown on the entire right side of the screen.
Your aircraft is in the center, and you have the choice of north-up or
track-up modes. There are
several kinds of maps that can be displayed, including terrain, low IFR,
and high IFR.
|
| Engine
Gauges are only displayed on the screen
when you ask for them (by clicking the knob once) or if a sensor reaches a
red-line or dead-line value. The
engine instruments are displayed in a window over the moving map as shown
here.
