Denok:

Once we get the US up and available, I can look into Canada. The "digital" format they provide as far as their public info is concerned are pdf files. If they have Arinc format data, we can use that for some of the necessary data.

Default Database Update 8-19-2010
All:

I have loaded the database with the fixed FSS data to my EFIS. It is the next cycle data and all looks good. I am in discussions with a web company for a distribution site. It should not be too much longer.

Two versions of the data will be available. One for FTP load to Gold Boxes and the other with the proper shell script to load to Gen 4 boxes.

More once the distribution site is up and running.

Ira says that terrain is not included. is this correct? No concern, just asking.

Terrain is a separate database. It was determined the rocks didn't move enough to make it worth while...

Question FTP & Shell Script
I take it that the database will not be available like it was before where I could get the NA Database file and just drop it on my flash card and use my card reader to install the update. I have a Gen 1 Gold box with the Card reader which worked great before. Guess I will have to learn to use FTP. Ugh
